Girls rock Glasgow is a volunteer run, volunteer led grassroots DIY organisation. Our mission is to promote girls making music, art, change, kinship and space for themselves.

We run a week long summerschool where girls come and learn instruments, form a band, do art workshops, make merch, meet new pals and gain confidence.

We are made up of a committee (see our TEAM) page, who work year round to ensure the Rock School runs smoothly during the summer, and a talented group of volunteers who join us from June onwards who help run and organise our workshops alongside the committee.

We hosted the first Glasgow summer school in 2015 based on the camps that have been running in America since 2001 - see http://www.girlsrockcamp.org

Plans for this summer are on the way, and we are currently running a gofundme campaign to raise money for equipment, material and meals during the week!

We’ll be recruiting for volunteers soon too - are you a musician or artist? passionate about creativity, music education, working with kids, feminism?
